Positivity bias is actually self-denial.

"Keeping it positive"..."stay positive"..."have a positive outlook on things"

Those things sound "nice" don't it?Sounds like a nice ideal, huh? They're super prejudice, delusional, and deceptive. And to be honest, it sounds like they're all avoiding reality. Sounds like absolute REFUSAL and self-denial.

I don't see truth as "negative" or "positive", but when I notice someone is biased, it says something about their character. They're actually spreading distortions. And one thing leads to another. When you do things like that, I expect them to be the type of person that "back stabs" and has a "flip side".Only because of what I've seen from people who think like that...they're very deceptive.

And they "overlook" those who don't fit this "social standard" of being one sided and positivity biased...everything isn't SUPPOSE to be that way, things just "are what they are". Things will "pass you by" when you turn a blind eye. Also, what they encourage actually leads to something negative, to which they will also turn a blind eye towards.

Put simply, what your promoting, is actually the opposite of what you think your promoting, and it's getting you no where. Simply give credit where credit is due, don't overdo it with this positivity bias ideal. That's abusing and ruining a great thing, lmao.

Now, I know there will be bashers on this thread, getting personally involved, and completely missing the message of this post...because this post is just far too "adult" for them. You'd be smart to not give me the reaction that I'd expect you to give. And this thread won't go completely left.

Are you implying that a very positive person is self-delusional and cannot see the real world the way it is?
I can say I am a living example of such 'phenomena' if you wanna call it that. You can stay optimistic living in this world and you can also be aware of real and bad things happening and not get depressed over them. There can be a balance and it comes down to the golden medium.

I was pretty straight-forward about my feelings on people being "Positivity biased".

You are wrong. No need for me to explain. Don’t take it personal. It’s just you have made mistakes on many components of your argument. It’s funny. I’m not laughing at you. “It is what it is,” as some say.

It's not "avoiding reality" as you are implying.

Feeding on positivity is to self-encourage, by doing so, you would be surprised by how much a single human being can achieve and self-confidence.
