[Theory] Posibility?

After reading the latest manga of OP, and after seeing the mera mera fruit.
I really started to wonder if luffy would get Ace's powers in the the future.
there must be a reason it showed up, don't you think?

and after seeing luffy's red hawk, you must also be wondering ^.^

Luffy won't get Ace's fruit, i think this Fujitora who was sent by Akainu will come to Dressrosa and take the fruit back to Marine HQ where Coby will find and eat it on accident.

That's a fun thought, certainly interesting. But Oda already stated that a user cannot have more than one devil fruit. The only exception to this has been Blackbeard, who was stated to have a unique, special body type.

Nice idea, but no.

gave it a try, cause I thought that for luffy to be a challenge for the 4 emperors he'd need a powerup ...

Well since Luffy's body is rubber a material that is extendable an inwards explosion wouldnt destroy his body, He would just stretch really far like seen in cartoons. I for one could definatlly see Luffy eating it on accident or just to eat something because he is hungry since luffy isnt even aware of the consequences that follow he could be like meh what the heck and just eats it. It would be a good power up and would relive us of those endless Gum Gum attacks that imo has gotten a little old just like Naruto's Rasengan.

isn't red hawk also a fire attack? he can use Haki to control the side effects of Ace's powers or maybe Busoshoku Haki?

I could see Luffy maybe getting it but Oda would have to explain how he can handle 2 DF's. Maybe it has something to do with the "Will Of D". But if he can handle 2 can he handle 3? & go for the Trifecta & get a Zoan type as well?
