If I had to say, a pool of chakra. If you can outlast your opponent, then you have a chance.

If strong chakra means high attack potency than this.

Stamina won't do you a thing if the other guy kills you in one hit.

Well, for more powerful attacks I'd say stronger is better.
However, in terms of durability "pool" always win.
In the end, they're kinda even....

I prefer stronger though, but probably I'm just being subjective xD

Depends on the kind of fight, a 1V1 quality chakra

The stronger chakra allows for a battle to be ended quickly, and the main advantage of a large chakra pool is having energy for as long as the battle carries on. I'll give it to strong chakra because, against someone with weak chakra and large pool, a well-placed attack can end the battle quickly.

Some like hashirama, nagato and naruto have both.

It's a tough question, it depends on the shinobi and their respective fighting styles

Very strong chakra.

If you have lots of chakra, but it's weak, you'll produce weak ninjutsu meaning chances are, you'll be unable to kill your opponent. A strong chakra means more potent ninjutsu, in other words, more deadly ninjutsu.

To top it off, you don't need as much to achieve greater effect and through battle experience and training, you can increase it anyway. You can't however, make your chakra more potent as that's something determined by lineage.

Strong chakra can result in more powerful techniques but a larger reserve can let you spam techniques.

Larger reserve is better in my opinion but a potent chakra would produce more powerful techniques.

depends on the character's role in battle.

e.g.

the assault types tend to end things asap so a high chakra output power is probably more useful for overpowering opponents.

a large chakra pool is more suitable for the support types who need to constantly heal/assist the others in battle.

and I suppose it would also depend on the strategies/techniques a character use.

It depends. In a 1 on 1 fight, strong chakra would be better. But if you're up against multiple enemies then a lot of chakra is obviously better. Although, it's best to have a balance of both.

Think of it this way, if your attacks won't phase through the other guy's attacks then you will just be overwhelmed and lose.

Large chakra pool, the more chakra you have, the stronger u can make ur attacks, if u put all ur chakra into 1 attack, u should neg that enemy

Chakra potency, can also be increased through training, as the more one practices jutsu the stronger his/her jutsu get. You can't think that the potency of part 1 sasuke's chakra is the same as shippuden sasuke's.

Actually having a large chakra pool also allows one to put more chakra into a single jutsu, making it more devastating. For example Naruto's Odama rasengan. Kisame is also a fine example of this. Despite the fact that he was only using A and B rank water jutsus, his chakra levels meant the scale was devastating
