Minato doesn't have any offense that could hurt Kabuto's regenerative abilities, and Kabuto has Minato's primary weakness―genjutsu (because Minato can pretty much dodge all taijutsu and almost all ninjutsu.) Basically, yeah, Sage Kabuto is much stronger.

Kabuto got outmaneuvered by Itachi, a manipulator, not really a fighter. And Minato outmaneuvered Tobi, one of the most manipulative characters in Naruto.

I'd say that Minato has a good chance of winning if he just plugs his ears and gets behind Kabuto. Kabuto's Regeneration would be a big problem, but the problem is, Minato's reaction time is second to none. Whatever Kabuto pulls off, Minato can probably dodge it. And as for sound Genjutsu, just plug the ears. Minato isn't dumb and he could probably guess that if his enemy pulls out a flute, it's not to serenade him.

I don't see how this doesn't refute my claim that Minato would win?

Minato had guessed a lot of Obito's "stealing the Kuubi" plan within only minutes of fighting he guy. I'd say that Minato is a very astute ninja when it comes to brains.

Kabuto has a whole ton of jutsu at his disposal as well as brain power. But I wouldn't say that Kabuto's battle prowess is better than Minato's prowess. Also, Minato specializes in dodging, most attacks Kabuto throws at him would probably miss. Kabuto really only has his regenerative abilities and a sound genjutsu which can be easily countered, especially by a ninja of Minato's level.
