Pointless being an Uzumaki; having a strong life-force and red hair isn't useful in battle. Besides, it just makes you a distant Senju offshoot. It's not like large chakra reserves are a part of their lineage; that's the Senju's thing. Naruto and Nagato being the exceptions; Karin quickly tired from one heal and Mito needed to store chakra in a Byakugou seal.

With the Hyuga, you get a useful Dojutsu, clan techs and somewhat stronger chakra from being a direct descendant of Hamura.

Kushina also has high chakra reserves, strong life force is tied to reserves. That means of the 5 canon uzumaki, 3 have large chakra reserves. This means that karin and mito are the exceptions and large reserves are part of their lineage.

As for the senju I can argue that hashirama was the special one seeing as how tobirama did nothing that was impressive chakra wise. I could like you conclude the senju don't have high chakra levels.

Both manga and data book agree that both clans have the same ancestor(Ashura) and therefore the same lineage.

Just becuase your an Uzumaki doesn't mean you'll have Chakra Chains or automatic finjutsu mastery.

Nagato nor Mito had Chakra Chains & Karin isn't a finjutsu master.

Not really, If you have coursework to do at home how would the byakugan help you?

Not every assessment is based on an exam where the byakugan could be used to copy answers.

I choose Hyuga so I can have Byakugan and block opponent from using their strength. I can use Byakugan to spy on the Uzumakis and learn their techniques, not like Uzumaki techniques requires a KKG.
