Hiashi also handled the clan while having two kids, supposedly without a wife even. Meanwhile, Hinata's got a husband who can duplicate himself. Even is she isn't the leader, her being a mother probably won't be what prevents that from happening.

I believe she is already the leader of the Hyuuga, Naruto and Hinata's home may be within the Hyuuga compound given that there isn't an Uzumaki area in Konoha. She's a perfect candidate that she wants to change the Hyuuga, and treating Neji of the second branch as her own brother, whereas Hyuuga of the 1st and 2nd branch had little to no respect for each other.

Why would she even become a clan leader? She hasn't demonstrated even a slight interest in that sort of thing, she hasn't shown the leadership skills necessary, nor has she expressed any concern or desire to change its outdated and barbaric system. Hell, Naruto's proclamation that he was going to change the Hyuuga was more than what Hinata has both said and done.

Short answer: no, she's not fit to be the Hyuuga's clan leader, at least not by manga portrayal.

I was referring to Hanabi, whom you seemingly support as being better than Hinata [even though it's pretty obvious you're not being serious]. Hinata, on the other hand has shown leadership qualities, and even if she hadn't, it wouldn't mean Kishi wouldn't make her the Hyuga Head, given that Choji himself is also the heir of his Clan's leader spot, and he too doesn't have leadership qualties that we've actually seen. I say this because all chunnins are meant to be good leaders, as this was the reason Shikamaru was made to be the leader of the Sasuke retrival team.

They should pull a Senju. That would solve their problem, no more branch. Just populate with the rest of Konoha and everyone has Byakugan after 7-8 generations. Than Hyuga would rule the village for good.
