If you didn't know, there is a comic called "The Darkness" about a man who wields it's power once he turned 21. With this power, he can virtually create anything limited only by his imagination.

All wielders are ancestors of the current protagonist, Jackie Estacado, and each one has a unique look/armor to them.



Which Darkness user do you think looks coolest or is your favorite?

yeah the first is the main character lol

I think the second one, Christian Estacado, looks the best personally....but the Jackie Estacado(the first one) is my second favorite


The last one is pretty much his armor except with a full helmet

well they technically all have the power of a god XD


but the second acted like a king, built a castle and an army out of the darkness. His chapter was set during the middle ages.

I've been thinking about checking this out for a while due to a friend. For a second opinion, is it any good?

It's pretty alright.

The first volume was great but after that it kinda started to go downhill a bit, mainly since the studio had writers leave, etc.

Volume 2 wasn't too great, but then volume 3 picked up to being good again.

I like the universe they created, it's very much like spawn.

The biggest problem with the Darkness is that there's so many plotholes and you need to read crossovers such as Darkness/Witchblade to get the full story.

and as I said there are still many plotholes left, such as what ever happened to certain villains, who these characters are, etc.

and also there are times when I wish they would expand the story of some other characters, such as the previous darkness wielders I've posted in the thread. They usually get 1 chapter or just one appearance in the comics, but I'd like to see more of them.

But for the most part it's pretty enjoyable and it looks really cool.
