Political science: Introduction to US Government : college question

Just have a quick question regarding this class. Is this class a requirement for college or no? Meaning is it part of the general education you are supposed to have in the first 2 years? h:

In my college it is. There are other classes that can satisfy the requirement, but this one does satisfy a requirement nonetheless

Technically no, unless your major pushes you into that class, then your not forced to. However PS could be taken for one of the sciences (social science and I believe another category PS falls into). Usually classes are divided into categories for each subject to fulfill a requirement. For example, PSY and SOC can be taken to fulfill certain science requirements, I believe social science. So you can take either SOC or PSY to fulfill the requirement. PS usually can be taken instead of government, history, and criminal justice classes. Your counselor or academic building should have information on which classes are required and which aren't for general education.
