As you can see, they were peacefully, sitting, and chanting.

Nothing wrong with this.

I think the police men were ordered to. I have heard that they've been trying to get the streets cleared of these occupy people because its been causing some major problems e.g. sanitary, safety etc.

What is the point of right to assembly, if you can fight little ways to get around it?

"Okay so, you guys can assemble here, but, we're going to mace you because you left trash here."

Also, there was a person throwing McDonalds applications at them, hundreds of them on the ground, but he didn't get maced, arrested, or even fined.

Seriously, this breaks the first and eighth amendments.

Thank god.. It shows an example of not to mess with the people with power.. Honestly I thought the OWS was pretty cute with their signs and stuff.. I work on Wall street and getting in and out of work is a freaking nightmare. These people are shouting they want equality to find work but let's face it.. They didnt' take time to form their college resumes right, they didn't network, they didn't intern.. their just a bunch of post-graduate punks that didn't bother to put in the extra work...

There are jobs out there. It's just stuff they wouldn't want to do.. I could name 5 places walking down broadway with huge signs in front saying "Now Hiring" or "Help Needed"

Even though this police act is "cruel" the protestors are getting in the way of hard working americans out there.. If they want equality in wealth they should take their asses to a communist country.. If not they march down and protest in front of the white house.. I'm tired of their BS.

I think the police officer was ordered to do so.. Reports also said that he gave the protestors more than enough warnings that they will use excessive force.. Can't blame the police though that's our tax money going to work.

Can you tell me the point of OWS? No of corse you can't - if you could then you wouldn't be able to say it's not working. It is working more effectively than many had ever planed, hoped or dreamed. And thank the gods.

There are a lot of reasons why the US economy is in the state of decline it's currently in. One of them is not a lack of money spent.

It's because there isn't enough " American dream " to go around to every person on the planet despite the fact that people like you tell every one that if they just work hard and spend more money on shit that nobody (gasoline, 3 cars a house-hold, PS3, XBOX 360) in the history of the human race has ever needed then every thing will get back to good.
