If everyone thought like you did then nobody would ever complain about police brutality and cops would've effectively doubled or tripled their authority on the American population. All she had to do was cooperate and it would've been fine.
I'm not defending the officer at all, and slamming a pregnant woman on the ground is absurd and ****ing insane, but she could've completed avoided the situation by just cooperating and keeping a level head.
Conflict with the authorities is 100% preventable.
Our rights aren't ever going to change dramatically without mass rebellion. If everyone thought like you did then nobody would ever complain about police brutality and cops would've effectively doubled or tripled their authority on the American population.
What? If everyone thought like you then everyone would think that complying with a cop's requests is for the better and do it willingly. Why would they rebel against something they promoted in the first place? Our rights aren't ever going to change dramatically without mass rebellion.
And if everyone thought like I did, there wouldn't be half as much police brutality.
There wouldn't be half as much which goes to show that there are still times where it can't be avoided like you previously said. Our rights aren't ever going to change dramatically without mass rebellion.
And if everyone thought like I did, there wouldn't be half as much police brutality.
In this case, she should've been thinking more about the child and not herself. Cooperating was smarter, and if her rights were violated, she could've fought it in court. Fighting it then and there vs. someone with a badge and a gun probably isn't the best solution, and the media has proven that. I'm not saying people shouldn't fight, I'm saying they should pick their battles more carefully. What? Yes, half as many incidents and half as many rights. Horrendous trade.
Okay, I agree about this particular scenario, baby should always come first. Fck her rights as long as the baby alright. In this case, she should've been thinking more about the child and not herself. In this situation, all she had to do was give a little information, like her name, etc. The cop isn't asking for her social security or anything, lol.
Ayy lmao I agree. They should have some of their power stripped, but I fear the day we don't actually have someone to call when shit gets out of hand.Okay, I agree about this particular scenario, baby should always come first. Fck her rights as long as the baby alright.
And yes, but my point is the more you let things slide the further they will take it. Humans are naturally greedy, once they can get into your house without a search warrant they'll move to the next level and start taking stuff from your house for 'investigation'. Things never stay at the same level, they'll always ascend to something more.
while i get where your coming from that shouldn't have to be the only option. we shouldn't all have to be treated as criminals. the police should not be allowed to get away with murder just cause someone didn't give a name or something.LAPD=Storm Troopers. They're like a gang, this is fact I thought everyone knew by now. NWA literally made whole albums about how crooked they are. They're bullies for sure, the only reason he did that was because she didn't obey him.
It was definitely police brutality. Not to mention he already had it made up in his mind what he was gonna do after he talked to the First Lady. He already saw Michelle as in the wrong when he talked to her.
At the same time though my people don't know how to act by now which is stupid. I mean I've been in a few situations with cops and if you just cooperate everything goes smoother. I even had a cop say to his partner while I was walking back to my car one time, "You don't see that too often". Which I know what he meant, douche.
You just got to know. All she had to do was give him her name, which she didn't have to I agree but it would've avoided this whole situation. He was obviously asking so that he could see if she had any warrants he could take her in for, her refusal just led him to believe further.
I know we have issues with the cops, but you gotta use your head and you won't be in situations like this. It's really not that hard.
Yea, it's already happening. You hear about those Active Denial Systems they made? Literally tanks that can make a certain area into a microwave zone intended to stop future riots. You can't stand in it for more than a second unless you were asking for cancer. Nobody's going to be able to voice their opinion some day in the near future.Ayy lmao I agree. They should have some of their power stripped, but I fear the day we don't actually have someone to call when shit gets out of hand.
Ya know that a story is ever told by the winner lelwhile i get where your coming from that shouldn't have to be the only option. we shouldn't all have to be treated as criminals. the police should not be allowed to get away with murder just cause someone didn't give a name or something.
your basically saying roll over and hope they don't put a bullet it you while your hands are tied (which they have done)
if you aren't doing anything wrong there should be no reason for you to have to give in to police demands. this is america not nazi germany. although it looks like we'll soon be on that level
You're silly if you think fighting against the cops by yourself will do anything. If you aren't doing anything wrong and you know it why fight? If you put ego aside you can come back and sue, expose the injustice, if you cooperate completely and still get mistreated(which is rare) you have more cause to back your defense of their actions.while i get where your coming from that shouldn't have to be the only option. we shouldn't all have to be treated as criminals. the police should not be allowed to get away with murder just cause someone didn't give a name or something.
