Don't put your hands on someone if you don't want their hands on you?

Don't get me wrong, cops abuse their authority often, and that's why certain scumbag cops want to make it illegal to film them, but being in a wheel chair doesn't mean you can swing at someone w/out consequence.

Self defense is self defense.

The only problem I have with this video is there's no context. I agree that it looks messed up but it makes me think of the UC Davis pepper spraying incident. It was really popular and everyone was like "oh these cops are out of control." People were even signing petitions to get them fired! But the reality is the people who were sprayed were blocking the path of employees and students trying to go to school. They also closed the cops in a big circle and told them, they couldn't leave until they let their friends go (who had been handcuffed earlier). Anyway I would say this cop overreacted a little bit but the guy hit him first, and also once you resist the police (which is idiotic) they have the right to do what they need to to bring you into control.

Yes the guy hit him first but you can tell the difference between the two attacks. If the guy really wanted the jacket I'm sure he could have got it off him. The guy just pushed his face away and it was the cop who was physical first.

Maybe a tad excessive, but we don't know what this guy was in for, and if he had hurt another officer then yeah, they're just waiting for him to screw up in the slightest way. My brother made the unfortunate mistake once of running from the police, and at one point he jumped over a fence. A female officer jumped over and sprained her ankle. When they finally caught up with my bro, one of the guys repeatedly smashed his face into the curb then stood on his head just to make sure he understood how badly he messed up. Of course, they had been looking for my brother for weeks too, and most of these officers knew him all too well, so he deserved it since he was resisting arrest, that's what happens.

I doubt that he would be able to do anything to seriously harm an officer the guy is in a wheelchair.
