IVs are Individual Values. They are what makes Pokemon stronger or weaker apart from EVs (Effort Values) and natures. So 5/6 IVs is like a Pokemon with near perfect individual values. 6 being the highest. =D

IV stands for Individual Value. If a Pokemon has 31 in a stat, the stat is perfect. By 5/6 IV I mean a Pokemon with 5 or 6 perfect stats.
