AND TO ALL:

the purpose of this thread wasnt to bash pokemon it was to say
why people enjoy not controling the game? you know for example when you play assasin creed you can run jump and kill
but when you play pokemon you get pikachu and you just click on thunderattack. you dont do the attack yourself. you get what i mean? thats what i dont like about it.

How can you say you like either when you haven't even tried one. and theres also differnt pokemon only in yellow do you choose pikachu, in red and blue you have 3 other choices (pikachu isn't even catchable until viridin forest) granted the only game you can't catch pikachu in is black and white (and black 2 and white 2) and theres more then just pikachu theres 721 pokemon to use have fun catching them all (which was never a requirement) but get creative use alot of pokemon theres options. and of course you're not doing the attack (in no video are you doing any attack, in call of duty you're not shooting zombies dead your character is) You're commanding your pokemon how to battle it requires thought (more so when playing against real people) what moves do I run will my opponent switch into something thats immune to my attacks will they increase their stats this turn etc.

and Once again it's about overcoming challenges with your pokemon, your friends and watching them grow alongside you on your journey. and pretty much why anyone loves any rpg.

They did theres 4 episodes for it also fun fact reds japense voice actor is narutos Japense voice actor.



and you mean actually being the pokemon? Mystery dungeon is there for that, but I'd rather be a human growing a team of monsters to do my bidding for me. xD

Yeah but not all the pokemon games are the same, those are in the old ones if i recall that you had to have a pikachu, now you can choose from 3 different pokemons, different elements [Fire, Water, Plant].

You should play more often and the newer ones. If you don't like the new ones, you should definitely try Pokemon emerald. It should hook you up right away.

Watch Pokemon Origins, it's a special with 4 episodes but it's everything the main anime should be. It's age audience is higher too.

They should of made longer, I would of loved it. Also, they should of explained why Red trains/stays at Mt.Silver. I think it was explained it the manga...

Yugioh is getting some sort of remastered anime this year. So good news for you if you enjoyed the original 2000 anime of yugioh. I was actually talking about the card game as well.



Yeah the best journey was HG/SS (IMO) because of how huge the post game was. I haven't played OR/AS but I heard the post game is pretty neat and secret bases are a lot of fun.

I have played or/as and hg/ss and I love or/as more. Just my perfernce though, Hoenn is my favorite of all the regions.

I tried some of megas from OR/AS on pokemon showdown and they're f*cking awesome. I was a bit disappointed that there was no mega flygon though. Idk how gamefreak missed out on that.

I really don't see how Pokemon sucks. So you want to battle as yourself? They already have something like that its called Pokemon mystery dungeon...

Playing a pokemon game for maybe 3-4 times isn't enough. We don't even know which game you've played and even if you played the latest ones that doesn't give you a good enough scope of what the entire game has to offer. There's also several pokemon generations as well.

Yes but only the anime and maybe the manga but not the games however, Pokemon is the most popular and best selling rpg to date. Though in my personal opinion, i do admit i get tired sometimes about all the bs hassle events updates and all that crap, needing to hack to get pokemon that should already be available in the freaking games -_____-

Anime: Ash. He's enough to hate the anime. Garbage trainer, non aging, loses with 1st poke to newbie trainer, etc

Game: Games feel like skin overs, lack of post game stuff besides battle area or breeding /competitive training. Also wish there was something for items like poke bank, like poke capsule or something.
