Pokemon games.

So , i'm looking for a pokemon game to play and these are the choices that i have.

Pokemon Ruby , Pokemon Sapphire.

Pokemon FireRed , Pokemon LeafGreen.

Pokemon Emeral.

Pokemon Diamond , Pokemon Pearl.

Pokemon Platinum.

Pokemon HeartGold , Pokemon SoulSilver.

So , from those that i wrote in this thread , which one is the best and why?

from the previous games , the only one that i played was crystal and it was amazing and the ones after that , the only one that i played was White , i didn't liked Pokemon White , the new games , i don't like mega evolution and the new type of pokemons , bc i'll have to learn everything once again and i'm not with the patient to do that.

play platinum and soul silver...lugias battle scene is epic and platinum is better the both diamond and pearl....there are new ruby and sapphire coming out in November so just hold on to those old games....fire and leaf are ok i guess....

Since you say you found Crystal amazing then I'd suggest you to buy SoulSilver, its an updated and revisited version of the second gens (Crystal etc).

so , i'm checking on gamespot , and i saw that the new games of ruby and sapphire that are going to come out are going to have the mega evolutions in their game and well.. i don't like that . it just doesn't fit well.

HG/SS is the best, imo.

Johto region is one of my favs and there's tons of stuff to do after you beat the league. =D Plus, you're Pokemon follows you around. :yayy:

I haven't played HeartGold personally but its basically the same as SoulSilver with differences of its own, so its up to your own preference.

He/She wants to use an emulator because the DS/GBA Advanced are no longer in shops, they were discontinued. Only 3DS now, which is expensive and you have to buy the games seperately, just use an emulator.... There aint no 3ds emulators so far tho.

Mega Evolutions are sweet anyways. You have to be a genwunner to hate them, imo.

I think you should play Heartgold or Platinum.

Platinum is a remake or director's cut or enhanced version of Diamond and Pearl.And can catch both Dialga and Palkia.
Heartgold/ Soulsilver are remakes of Gold and Silver respectively.

You can walk with pokemon in Heartgold/Soulsilver in the entire game, that feature was good too.
Also in Heartgold/Soulsilver you have to win 16 batches in total(8 Johto+8 Kanto), making it one of the longest pokemon games.

But with online features withdrawn by nintendo on 20th may, the fun reduces imho. No GTS, no wifi battles, hampers the fun a little bit.

Jesus H. Christ, where the **** was I when this happened? I just tried playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl with a friend over wifi last night, so this would explain why it didn't work.
