Pokemon Black 2 & Pokemon White 2

Release Dates:
Japan: June 23, 2012
US: October 7, 2012
Europe: October 12, 2012

Alrighty all you clowns and rookies, Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2, otherwise known as Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 are the second set of games of the long anticipated fifth generation of Pokémon. TNow these two games have already been released in Japan on June 23, 2012 and are sequels to Pokémon Black & White, running on the Nintendo DS systems including DSi and 3DS. Serebii.net has been providing up to date info on these two games including two alternate forms for Kyurem; Black Kyurem in Black 2, where he combines with Zekrom and White Kyurem in White 2, where he combines with Reshiram. With the big difference of the two legendary's trading places with the games (Zekrom going to Black 2 and Reshiram going to White 2)

These two versions are set within the Unova region 2 years after the events of Pokémon Black & White, and as such, a lot has changed in the region. Areas have been renovated such as Route 4 while others have undergone drastic changes. The game begins in a previously inaccessible part of Unova to the southwest as you take control of a character who lives in Aspertia City, with....you guessed it their rival. There are various other new areas in Unova, with their own new Gyms and Gym Leaders.

Unlike Pokémon Black & White, Black 2 & White 2 feature a Pokédex that contains Pokémon from various other regions of the game, with the dex having 300 Pokémon within it before the National Pokédex is obtained, making it the biggest regional Pokédex there has been in any of the other games.....why do they make things so challenging for us....

The games can be played on any model of DS and 3DS, however they contain a region lock on DSi and 3DS models

Alright for those of us who are impatient.....namely this guy lol. I have been playing this game on my ds emulator so I know what to expect when I buy the actual game, so it is a bit challenging not knowing exactly what I have to do (no full English patch for the character to character dialogue yet only about 19% or 29% so yeah lol)

As stated before this game takes place TWO years after the events of its first two. So thus you have two new heroes to choose from.....

And a brand new rival named Hugh......

Now here are the gyms of this game and the gym leaders with their pokemon!!!

Now to the important part you start for the first time ever in a Pokemon game.....In a city known as Aspertia City, where it has its very own Pokemon gym, and No none of your family members are the gym leader, but you do know him from the last game, and that's one of the last games heroes' best friend, and that is Cheren. You get your starter from Pro. Juniper's new assistant, Bianca, yes the other best friend from the last game. But now back to Cheren, though he had some pretty bad ass Pokemon in the last game, he has substituted them for common weaker pokemon of the Normal type, Patrat and Lilipup. So anticlimactic for such a known character.

The other new gym leaders well.....you meet the second one fairly early on in the game considering she is the second gym leader and she is actually a pain. Her name is Roxie, and her specialty is Poison type pokemon, using a Koffing and a Whirlipede against. The difference for this game is they actually spread the level differences fairly decently between the leaders thus making....no rather forcing you to train and level grind your pokemon just so you can handle them (dunno why but when I start I always go with water pokemon makes it feel more challenging int the end)....

The third gym leader, is finally on the main land in that big ol'3D port-town of Castelia City, they kept the same gym leader and same type....Burgh with his Bug type pokemon, the main difference this time around is that he changed his gym, if you don't like spider-webs then your just going to love his gym, and I'm not kidding, or am I lol. But yeah he still has his Swadloon at level 22, Dweeble at level 22 and Leavanny at level 24. Now if you started with Oshawott.....I recommend you either have him near level 30 or have a Growlithe with you (or Magby if you got Black 2). Because he will be a pain in your ass if you don't.

The Fourth gym leader of that very electric city of Nimbasa City, is once again that electrifying super model (hardy har har) of Elesa, and once again the major difference with her.....is her gym lol. This time instead of focusing on entertainment and roller coasters in her gym, she has a fashion show going down in her gym, in-which you have to walk down her catwalk to get to her. As for her Electric pokemon she still has Emolga at level 28, from the Second Gen, Flaffy at level 28 and then finally....Zebstrika at level 30......yes another fun battle for the poor Oshawott starters.

Then the Fifth gym leader of the drillin' town of Driftveil City, is Clay the rough riding.....businessman...Cowboy......no applause? fine fine fine even though he still has his massive ground shaking earthquaking Ground type pokemon. To fight this big oph, ya gotta find your way through a maze. The pokemon he carries with him are is trusty ol' Krokorok at level 31, from the first gen, that spiky devil Sandslash at level 31, and last but not least that drillin' master of Excadrill at level 33. This guy is literally the only break your water starter is going to get as far as gym leaders are concerned lol....bastards lmao.

Now for that high flying Sixth gym of that sky high city of Mistralton City.....normally by now you may of had a small chance of getting the White version exclusive of Rufflet (Braviary's baby form)but nooooo -_- you have to wait till your nearly at the Pokemon League to get him this time. Anywhore......Skyla is your gym leader once again and she still has her high flying Flying type pokemon of Swoobat at level 37, from the second gen's steely high flyer of Skarmory at level 37 and finally the only swan of all pokemon, Swanna at level 39. She shouldn't be too much of a challenge for most people by this time especially if they know what their doing.

Now here is another twist, ya'll remember the Seventh gym being held in that version changing city of Opelucid City. Not much....well not really anything changed about the gym itself, you still navigate yourself through the gym on a dragon by defeating the other trainers, but whats different is the leader. Note I said Leader so in both games you battle the same one unlike the last games, and that is that ol' billy goat of Drayden. Now this man his pokemon jump nearly 10 level from your last gym, that's quite the jump for a regular....oh wait this guy has Dragon's on his side so yeah...have fun! His menacing dragons consist of Druddigon at the level of 46, from the third gen, that dragonfly Flygon at the level of 46, and lastly that none flying, ax-wielding Haxorus at the power house level of 48.

Then finally, that elusive Eighth gym of that sea fairing city of.....Seigaiha City. Now here is the Third brand new gym leader of Marlon....and no we are not fighting against the sword fish even though he has fins on his feet.....seriously lol, and none of his guys are ice pokemon which is a sad state of affairs......They are all of the Water type, and you have to find your way through his gym ontop of them lily pads....Now for us water starters this isn't exactly a break considering your water pokemons moves will not be very effective. But this man's pokemon's level differences are minimal compared to the last gym.....on his team he has the ancient sea surfing turtle of Carracosta (personally my favorite fossil poke) at the rock shell level of 49, that massive whale of a whale from the Third gen, Wailord at the massive level of 49, and then finally the final gym jelly pokemon of the gym challenges.....Jellicent at the gooey level of 51.

No prob. lol I am just barely at Driftveil myself in the game (that would be on my way to my fifth badge) but right now I have to deal with a Team Plasma battle between the new and the old, and after I beat the new team plasma I will be given the Zorua :p which is cool ^^
