Saw some openings for the new XYZ series of Pokemon and it looks damn good! Then watched some fights and they're really well made. o-o Then I hop on to some anime discussions and people genuinely like it. ^///^ What a suprise, has Pokemon actually stepped its game up?

Any of you guys actually watching the new series. Didn't watch Pokemon since Kalos lol , might as well start again if it's good. =D

Pokémon is one of these anime who is long running but still has good animation and shiz...Pokémon as it is is repeating every season so you know what to expect xd well...Ash might actually beat the league this season but I clearly doubt it.

Well, I'm not really up for him winning (cuz then the anime would end and all). I'm more interested in how much charm it has when compared to the first series. The feels withered away as time passed but this one really seems different and way better and memorable than BW. (Or that's what they say.)

Yes
Its right
Well good to see Pokemone is strong again. Will keep my eye on it. ^^

why would it end? in Alola there are no traditional gyms so the system might be different, Ash could win the last league (provided they go with the Alola model from sun and mooon onwards)

if you skip the fillers pkmn xy and xyz are imo easily by far the best series in 19 years of pokemon ... and I grew up with gen 1 and 2

Was good one week ago....now it's shit
I've had my meltdown for the episode and yes I hated it but the fact is still that it is the best Pokemon series by far and even if my hype was deflated this week by about 90% the Team Flare arc does look absolutely amazing and it has been build up since Anistar City, yes we got trolled but don't forget that Ash and greninja were mainly hyped up in regards to Team Flare and teh disaster that's about to happen

last episode was a complete f??? up, possibly the biggest yet, but we were so pissed because, for once, we were actually seriously invested in Pokemon, if the same thing happened in BW the reaction wouldn't have been nearly as loud, people weren't nearly as pised even in Sinnoh, the Kalos series was still the best in Pokemon

Alan is superior to Ash. The better trainer won.

And because of it a large number of fans have left, it's kinda like the gm games in FT where like half of the fans jumped ship because of the trolling, I do admit that thus far I only believed FT to be capable of losing so much fans in one day :/ but sadly pokemon did it too

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Ash will never win any major event till they stop making the games. Had Ash won than the focus of the anime would completly change to him trying to beat the Elite 4 to become a Pokemon Master. Thus making the story near its end. The fans only have themselves to blame for having unrealistic expectations.

***Spoilers***

Still a good season (maybe the best for me), but I will admit that his loss in the Kalos league was a let down. I still don't understand why it would hurt the series so much if they ditched the formula of him losing every single time (bar Orange Islands). Is it to keep the newer views craving for future victories? If anything reaching the Elite 4 is exactly what's needed to bring the hype back to the audience, or at least the ones that have been watching the show for an extended period. It's easy to give Ash a reason to continue his journey if he did succeed, even if he beat the champion (which he already put up a good fight against).

My guess is that he's losing here to hype up a rematch when the Team Flare plot reaches its climax.

Also I doubt him winning his battles has much to do with the actual pokemon he's using. I know people will talk about the match-ups and how "competitive" his pokemon are but in reality it's all based on the plot.

No one had problem when Ash's Charizard rekt Golem and Blastoise b2b but now :lol
Its not about a fire v water type, its normal for type disadvatages to still win in the anime, it's about that he lost again (and the way he lost) and the next region doesn't even have gyms anymore and the fact that everything gently pointed to him winning

Also Ashes charizard was strong but still a normal pokemon (though overhyped) whereas Alain is a gary stu and his charizard is by all indications a god pokemon, he beat 10 megas in a row and basically carried Alain to the finals, not to mention aLain doesn't give a c??? About his other pokemon and the fact that he never wanted to enter the league anyway until he found out that he could battle Ash there

I just wish that his Cahrizard finished its match with Stevens MMetagross so that Steven could teach Alain some manners, a Meteor Mash right into Charizards face :D
