poetry on NB

anyway there have been many poems that have went up on NB since the time where there was two types of writing added to the Fanfic section.

1 fanfiction
2 poetry

my suggestion here is that i want to askthe mods. if we can work out a system like poetry of the month. poetry on NB has been given positive feedback and some i saw was like being in a state of nirvana while reading them.

i mean there may be some reason not to. may you consider this though.

1 it gives people a chance to express feelings through literature.
2 its open up new spirit of competition and creativty
3 personaly i know some mods love poetry and alot ofthe NB memebers do too

im gonna open up a poll for NB to vote.
its your choice to accept this proposal or deny it
either way no hard feelings

if there would be like 1 poetry/day maybe the mods would create a subsection but right now it is not really needed

I think that would be a lovely idea, I have a friend here on the Base who is amazingly awesome and talented in Poetry. I'd like to see him win a reward for it, I think he deserves it. =DD Thank you very much, I agree. ^^

This could also be viewed as spam, since I have no idea what it has to do with your suggestion.

He's not asking for a subsection, he's asking for a contest. The [Poetry] tags were added instead of creating a subsection.

As for the suggestion itself, a poetry contest could be possible, but someone would have to oversee it.

Well, we already have quite a lot of constests, so i doubt that it will go on. Also, like Sveti said, who will over see it, the Mods are already really busy at the moment...

I write poetry and post it on my blog here on NB. If you guys did a contest I wouldn't mind participating. Although I remember this may have been discussed before and the conclusion was that it is not necessary at the current time. But if one of you is willing to take on the load I wouldn't mind helping out.

Anyways, kudos on the thread although this idea is not new.
