Here's one of my favorites, made by me of course.
"Within the tempest's eye"
1 here in the kiln is the ember
2 fueled by the north wind
3 that burns for eternity
4 to keep the age-old tradition
5 of hope, peace, and prosperity
6 so that nothing will be undone
7 but it can only last so long
8 before it snaps out of anger
9 and shatters the walls around it
10 that's when the ember goes cold...snuffed out
11 if that happens, nothing good will come out of it
12 there's a possibility that there is no turning back
13 a possibility you could be drawn into the darkness
14 and become consumed by corruption
15 only madness, despair, and a sense of non-existence will result
16 you will soon drive out everything you once loved
17 once you drive out the last things you loved
18 by then, you will really be dead
19 peering into the shadows
20 just a shell of your former self
21 and only then, all that's ever left is...
22 a marred pulse hidden deep inside the core of a scarred heartbeat
