[Poem] For parting lovers

Into moonless night you sway,
I never turn away
Trying to put off the hope and live through the day,
I hope it was serendipity all the way,
The only soliloquies of this impasse standing of ours,
I never want to sever, parting is not a choice.
Your ephemeral laughs became colourful butterflies in the sky,
Waiting for flowers to blossom, wiping the eye,
I was there, holding back the goodbye.
