Description:
This is a small poem I made using Katniss Everdeen's POV/something like that.
Poem:
Through the back streets of my district,
My people are plagued with starvation,
Yet they look away,
Lavished in riches, and beauty,
Why would they care.
If and when they finally notice,
Children are tearing others apart,
And without emotion, they look away,
Laughing and celebrating murder,
Oh how they care.
My people sacrifice themselves for them,
To give them the power that drives their homes,
And without sympathy, they look away,
With so little in our pockets,
How could we feed our families,
They care so much.
But, what if I happen to win,
My people could finally eat a whole meal,
And at that point, we’ll look at them,
Being neither animals nor pests,
We are district 12,
And I am Katniss Everdeen,
And I truly do care.
