It is like kekai genkai. He have water , earth and all required chakra in him so he can do that. But this will arise new doubt that yamato uses wood style bcz he has hashi's dna then why?
Maybe its like madara evolve his eye to be renningan so hashi use required chakra type to form wood style but then he should stick it to himself . Yamato should not be able to use it.
