Plothole or Obito/Itachi lied?

It was said Izuna died on the battlefield BLIND. But it was clearly shown he had his eyes & his sight. Is this a plothole or did Obito/Itachi show a false flashback?

i'll say it again, madara and hashirama clashed multiple times. this is just the first, and they're still with the normal sharingan. they were older when they got the ms, madara will get the ems later on not in this fight.

Of course, Itachi and Obito have the best poker faces of the manga and they both had something to gain by lying to Sasuke.. Itachi would prevent Sasuke from trusting someone like Madara, and Obito would get Sasuke onto his side.

Or Obito actually thought it was the truth. Madara gave him the mission to take his identity, so surely he had to tell Obito his lifestory... and it wouldn't be surprising if he left out a few things, to keep the kid's trust.

Itachi or Obito didn't have to be 100% correct, Izuna died from a wound he got on the battlefield... he had a mangekyo sharingan so it's obvious that he had used it and his eye sight had suffered most likely he was like Sasuke was after killing Danzou... no one is alive from back then so the information given will never be a bit mixed up
