^^ The reason behind Kaguya getting mad and acting in such evil way is still unknown even to Hagoromo, her son. In the begning Kaguya was carrying and lovely for people. Hagoromo only suspect eating of forbidden fruit is what changed her so much.

Most likely we may got Closure on Kaguya's character and learn more about her give her depth as character. It would be perfect opportunity to learn more about Hamura as we know little to nothing.

Kaguya would be bad then turns good, anyway she would be no longer as powerfull as she was due to loss of tailed beasts massive chakra. Hagoromo admited that he didn't know what changed Kaguya so much...

He also confirmed that Kaguya was caring/loving mother and woman to other people before eating forbidden fruit. The forbidden fruit is supposed to change her so much.

Actually nvm, the kanji indeed don't match, but the translation is pretty accurate. Here's the Romaji version of the pic's kanji if you feel like translating it yourself or if you find words you are familiar with and know their meaning in english :

"Tsuki ga ijyou sekkin ! kono mama de wa tsuki ga houkaishi, insekito natte chijouhe to muri sosoi de shimau ! chikyuu saigo no hi ni muketa kauntodaun (countdown) ga sutaato (start) !! Naruto wa kono kiki wo norikoeru koto ga dekiru no ka !?"

The rabbit doesn't "smirk", it's the normal look of a rabbit's face. That line isn't his mouth, just look at the panel where it actually spits Madara out - the mouth line is different from the static one above it.
