This momment proves indefinitely that any amount of research or fact in the manga can always be bypassed by kishi's plot. So while those masks never existed until now, they bypassed the common theory that the edo tensei was over for this manga, and that none of the hokages could be resurrected.

If I had Come up with a prediction that says what's In 618 I would have been flamed to ashes. U_U

The plot no jutsu would be how tobi put 6 zetsu in sasuke and oro used one as a vessel

Oro probably always had a way to get his arms back but he needed sacrifices and the uchiha were always over that place so there had to be waiting time for it to clear out

Anyways, it's not plot no jutsu if I and others correctly theorized this. Hints were dropped left and right by Kishimoto. Whoever thought Orochimaru would not research on how to get his arms back was a fool. Edo was over for Kabuto, but not Oro. In fact, due to clues in the manga I think Jiraiya and Shisui might come back too...
