And to answer that question madara wants to become the ten tails jinchuuriki

If he used the kyuubi in the mean time he would have to extract it from himself in the near future and that would result in his death.

Which would kinda ruin his plans lol

Only those who inherited the Sage's body can be the Kyuubi's jinchuuriki because it's chakra is foul. Throughout the history, all of the kyuubi's Jinchuuriki has all been Uzumaki who are close relatives of Senju. Madara and Obito now possess the body to be Jinchuuriki of Kyuubi and Juubi through having Hashirama's DNA implanted on them. Both of them are now close to having the Sage's powers by having both Eyes and Body.

Madara didn't know about the idea of sealing a Biju within themselves or another. Also, only Uzumaki it seems can host it so Madara might have died had he got Kurama sealed within him.
