[Discussion] Please why are the Preceding Ninjas so weak and lazy.

From my findings, its kinda hard to believe that some leaf ninja are actually ninja. Like com'on, how the heck did weak ass ninjas like ebisu and iruka even pass the goddamn chounin exam in their time. Also there are two guys who almost got killed by that ninja ostrich, and they were chounin, so how on earth did they pass their exams? And if you noticed all of naruto's peer (currently), they would easily hand the asses of their masters to them (except maito guy)... So someone explain....

There is a reason why some ninjas are low ranked and some high ranked.
Iruka was a sensei at academy who was teaching basics jutsues.

That's what normally happens in stories like these. They create a lot of high rank ninja but as the story goes on the kids get crazy power ups and all the irrelevant ninja get left behind. What was hyped before seems horrible now. It basically becomes unbalanced and strange in terms of power.
