Men and women both play particular roles in our world. Their are many things that women can do just as well as a man, but their are also things women just can't do like males whether it be biological or physically. Same goes for men as well. They can do things women can and sometimes even better. However, society sets a standard for things men and women can do and too many ppl follow those standards in fear of what ppl will think about them. Most women may not admit it but they get turned on to guys dancing with shirts off and doing moves that look feminine because it also looks sexy. And other guys be wondering why all the girls go crazy from him dancing rather then over them, and its because he don't care about the worlds standard or what ppl think. His goal is to look sexy dancing and attract girls lol.
I'm a psychology major and i can protest to the fact that women aren't the only emotional ones. Both men and women are born with emotions and we feel and use emotions in our everyday life to make judgment of the world around us. When ppl say women are more emotional, they should use a more clearer term such as more gullible or reckless. It is true that women are often more reckless in their decisions than men due to their lack of control over their emotions. However, a lot of men are also the same way and it all traces back to how they were raised as a child and basically just their personality. The way you are raised and things your exposed too during your youth affects who you will be in the future. As you age and grow your brain learns day by day habits and habitual traits that influences your personality and emotions. Some women are much more aggressive than others due to the way they were raised, however they are still human and have emotions. And some men are less aggressive and nice because of their exposure at a young age. However, ppl stereotype based off of standards and call ppl gay or weird because of these things, but its not always the case. Their are many strong minded and self controlled women that may be a bit more aggressive for whatever their reason, but it doesn't make her less of a woman. Their are also many strong minded, family-oriented men that may be a bit more emotional but that doesn't them less of a man. Many men and women have self control over their emotions and don't make emotional(reckless) decisions throughout life. We go each day making decisions and you have to be in control of your mind in order to decide whether to make a decision based off of your heart or feelings, or based on logic. But in today's world lots of men and women are making very emotional(reckless) decisions during situations that require some logical thought, leading to unwanted pregnancies, divorce, crime, and even death.
As i said in the beginning, men and women have particular roles they play. I know everyone doesn't believe in God and his words, but i believe the things he say, especially his instructions about gender roles. Men are to be leaders of their family, strong minded, and love their children and their wife as God loved us. And women are to care for their family, love their husband, and support the man, rather than tear him down. I've seen many good men that were little more emotional than average, but they took care of the family they loved and made strong wise decisions in life. A man that has strong emotions understands the value of love and what it takes to care for those he love. A man that has shows emotion doesn't make him weak, what makes him weak is how he controls his emotions and how he makes his decisions. The same goes for women as well. Too many ppl in our world lack control over their emotions and do crazy stuff, and too many ppl aren't sticking to the roles God set up for men and women. We have women tearing men down and destroying their confidence rather than building them up and acting crazy like they can do whatever they want without questions asked. Then we have men that don't want to care for their families, mostly due to the lack of support from the woman or they just don't care. And men placing women into stereotypes and objectification day by day, as if they're superior in gender.
Men may have been created first by God then the woman in my believe, but that doesn't make them superior over everything nor give them the right to treat women the way we've been treated for over hundreds of years. Woman was made so man won't be alone because God understands how painful loneliness can be. Men and women are equal, however men are only superior based within the roles God has given him regarding his family.
Their are lot's of good men that stand up for women so i wouldn't say all men are pigs like someone mentioned in an earlier thread. However, the men that think they're superior over everyone else, disrespecting and objectifying women are entitled to be called pigs because they wear the title righteously.
I truly hope one day the gender wars would stop within the media, internet, and society and men and women and see each other as equals. Nothing more or less.
So let's stop this madness on the Base plz.
