No Kekkei Genkai involves 2 elements (weak or strong to each other) and it makes it move powerful meaning a new element. The basic 5 and Kekkei Genkai are the same in a way but different Kekkei Genkai can out do others so they are not equal.

Well, kkg also have advantages and weaknesses too. The fact that they have 2 more just makes it difficult to counter as easily as others since they are not like the other elements
