I think Doflamingo and Crocodile will make a good match up if fighting together, but of course personalities would hinder this course of action to occur.

Even Doflamingo took the time to investigate what really happen to his powerful colleague Crocodile:

That part of the scan was interesting because I feel like both these ex-warlords (doffy soon to be), will team up together with Straw hat in the near future for another war against the navy. Just like Crocodile and luffy teamed up against the navy at the marineford (That would be amazing).

Funny part is that Doffy didn't give a shit about Moria, so I wouldn't expect him anytime soon.

Right now it is confirmed by both Luffy and Doflamingo are beaten up pretty badly:

And luffy can't really touch doflamingo because he's not at a disadvantage anymore, he's in his element.
Outside where the clouds of dressrosa is keeping his evasiveness and speed way up for luffy in second gear to really catch up to.

I think Doflamingo was more curious as to how Crocodile was defeated because:
1. He lives in Paradise and is a Logia. Most of the pirates with Haki to combat a Logia aren't hanging around that area, with some exceptions

2. Why would the Marines fight a Shichibukai, who is supposed to have immunity to them interfering? While Crocodile was doing shady business within the criminal underworld, he was careful(evident by how the Marines didn't find out till his defeat), so it was unlikely they would have caught him and fought him for that. It doesn't add up

3. The criminal underworld itself. Doflamingo is the most influential broker there and has great connections, and Crocodile did business in the criminal underworld, so Doflamingo must have been connected to him or known about him in some form through that that goes beyond just their pirate careers. Thus, when he was defeated, it piqued his interest.

Oh ya, I almost forgot about her.

Doffy still needs to get probed questioned by Dragon first before suffering from any other consequences.

What about the Fuji Admiral guy?

He has to arrest Doflamingo if he's not a king anymore.
