I recently started watching dbz kai because i realized that besides the music, it wasn't half bad.

The version i watched was the nick toons version because it even says it in the background.

But vegeta says 9000 (not 8000 that made people upset). The dialogue leading up is the exact same recording (i made sure), but right before the "8000" line he said 9000. I saw another version that is the exact same until that line in which its "8000". Then the next few lines of dialogue are different.

I worded that weirdly but the one version on nick toons was: "Vegeta whats wrong with you? whats his powerlevel" "Its over nine thouuuusannnnnnnd!" (in a way similar to the ocean dub, but clearly the funimation actor) "what 9000! there's no way that can be right"

And in the second version, its identical up until nappa's line, in which he says "vegeta! Whats the scouter say about his power level?" "Its over 8000, ughhhh!" "what, there's no way! that can be right"

So the nick version has a different nappa line than ocean, but the ocean vegeta line...
and the other one has the original ocean nappa line but the new vegeta line.

Are there 2 versions of it? I get there's an uncut, but why would they change that entire section?

Does it matter? I guess lost in translation due to the Parental Rating of the Program.

The original japanese translation is over 8000, I believe they changed it to 9000 because it went better with how the mouths moved.

Honestly it doesn't matter, just know that the canon would be over 8000 and not over 9000.
