There are different types of members in this forum. Some enjoy to discuss about "possible" fights between a guy who died 200 years ago and a guy, who died 4 years ago has been resurrected 10 hours ago and are already sealed within 5 minutes.

Some discuss about who should Naruto end up with. In my opinion these are also kinds of theories. ;)

Others like to compare the individual strength of all of the ninjas. Even though there are not comparable, we don't stop arguing about it.

And there are the users writing about theories, plotholes, ...
The theorie writers are the ones most shitted on. Yes, there are needless new threads and it's sometimes annoying that everybody opens a new one just because they have a slightly new one. Imagine you have to post your Minato VS Naruto fight in a Naruto Fights thread, where it could just go down by the many of posts every minute. (If everybody would do that, that would be the sad truth) You could say that it's just a mirror of the community that we have this many threads about theories. So I would say give the people what they want and don't waste your Time. Why not a whole Section about plot theories? I think that would be good for the atmosphere in this Forum.

Of course not mentioned: the trolls, the idiots, the annoying people, ...

Just my two cents. :)

Theories that are well thought out and cite supporting evidence to reach a reasonable conclusion are fine. Theories that have no support and are formed purely on speculation are BS. Unfortunately, most theories on the base fall into the latter description.

people here act towards the theories as they had been written on their home's walls
Who cares? Same goes for made up fights, romantic stuff, ...
It's not just about the theory, it's about arguing something. It's a positive aspect of a Forum that you can train arguing and get better through it. Unfortunately many users are immun to reasonable arguments. That's just sad.

That's true. But even those with good evidence where shitted on for posting another theory. But I agree with you. :)
