I know people have their own opinions so just because it's been discussed don't mean people can't give you different perspectives on matters u-u

Right, so PlayStation vs Xbox (Mainly PS4 and Xbox One)

Did Microsoft lose dominantly? Like I know Sony trolled a bit but the ridiculousness of the Xbox One was so cringe worthy and to find out 24 mill people still bought one. I love PlayStation more but they damn near nuked their own Hexagon, Twin tower, White House, etc.

For anyone who disagrees well... why are they making an ENTIRELY new built up Xbox called Xbox Scorpio? They literally gave up and jump ship to a new console for an entirely new generation. That's BULLSHET!!! Sony didn't do that with the PS3 and MS even released the 360 and entire year BEFORE the PS3 and the 360 was a beast, outsold the PS3, PS3 had no games, no consumers, it was 600 AT LAUNCH and to this day and yet:

The PS4 could LITERALLY enter top 5 of all time PS2 still being the most sold. People thought console gaming was dead... (PC nerds make fun all you want you started on one of these consoles)

I really want MS to pick up but coming with an entirely new system trying to cheat in like the 360 might not work no matter how powerful. You fack over fans harder than PS ever has (Nintendo still being the worse leh)

What's the reason to even own a xbox in general? All their exclusives are coming to PC so the best way is PC + PS4 + Switch. Xbox Scorpio doesn't offer anything as far as I know.

Xbox Scorpio is like the ps4 pro. They clarified it isn't an entirely new next gen console but who knows how it'll actually play out over time. PS has always had better brand strength than xbox. Plus ps overall is a better console imo.

My newest system is a PS2. My favorite of all time is the Super Nintendo, but the PSone was a great system. I have been tempted to get a PS4 because of Nier:Automata and a few other games. I would never get an Xbox; the Playstation exclusive games appeal to me more.

The Xbox Scorpio is not an entirely new console, it's a sort of similar to the PS4 Pro. I'm fairly sure all the Xbox One games will work with the Scorpio. IIRC, Sony and Microsoft are both trying to kill the concept of generations. They're trying to shorten/remove console cycles so there are more products to sell and to milk sheep more. But yeah, Xbox One lost because of brand and exclusives. I'll buy what my friends and the majority of people I know buy, a PlayStation.

Shut up it's an entirely new console in both senses.

All current Xbox One games will work on the upgraded console, but Microsoft isn't ruling out exclusives.
Initially, Microsoft stated that Scorpio wouldn't have platform exclusives, but that position isn't as clear-cut as we first thought.
So they planned on releasing an entirely new console but they weren't sure on exclusives?

"We think the future is without console generations," Greenberg said. "We think that the ability to build a library, a community, to be able to iterate with the hardware – we're making a pretty big bet on that with Project Scorpio.

"We're basically saying, 'This isn't a new generation; everything you have continues forward and it works.' We think of this as a family of devices."
I mean it'll be new in the sense that it'll perform like a mid-tier 2017 PC but those are Microsoft's words, I guess.
