[Question] Pirate Summit?

Am kind of really curious of tha Pirate summit?
I remeber Ace saying this to luffy "The next time we meet will be at the Pirate summit, come to the TOP Luffy." And Teach saying this "If you seek the summit follow your dreams and you will fight many fights than your fist can handle." My own imagination of the summit was something like the Kage summit in NARUTO. But some much powerful pirates in one place that's just a recipe for disaster knowing guys like Doflamingo and Teach. If I left other people who have talked about the summit please replay an tell me what's your idea about it,the summit. Please reply what is this PIRATE SUMMIT???????

There is no pirate summit, what Ace meant was "See you at the top" but he did not mean that there will be a pirate summit. Since "top" can also mean "summit" (as in the summit of a mountain) the line was easy to confuse. The "See you at the top" line was a figure of speech by Ace, challenging Luffy to become strong like him and join the top tier of strength. Pirate summit was a mistranslation found in many fan translations and sub translations. K-F, one of the Fansubbers, mistranslated it, and Stephen the script translator also mistranslated it as well. In the English manga, Viz translated it as "See you on the high seas". Also the piece of paper Ace gave Luffy was not an invitation, as it was blank. This paper is later revealed to be a Vivre Card, a special paper that is made from part of a person (usually fingernail trimmings) that allows the holder to know what direction the paper's owner is in.

In the light of the current developments in Dressrosa I think we will have the Reverie saga pretty soon. The name has been dropped since Wapol saga and it would be a nice way to introduce Vivi and Cobra again and all the other kings.

And it would be a opening for some troublesome guys and/or the revolutionaries to show up.

To hell with vivi but it would be really amazing if the was a pirate summit...Do you guys think Oda-sensei will bring Kami Enel bacl that dude would be at admiral even yonkou level but I think he will come to the blue sea for his revenge and he will find much powerful guys than Mugiwara-boy

Would be pretty cool to see a real pirate summir where all the beasts come together to take out a mutual enemy (WG for example)

Well based on your opening question I thought you just had a reading problem. But now that you think Enel actually has something to say in the New World I realize your problems in understanding One Piece are far greater.

Pretty much, though if you want something substantial, it would be the One Piece. For many pirates, finding the One Piece is their ultimate dream and he who finds it, will certainly stand at the summit of all pirates: the Pirate King.

Taking it literally, like that it would be an actual place and meeting, wouldn't make much sense. These are pirates, they don't have any kind of structure or organization outside the 4 yonkou, which is something that grew more or less organically and is in fact nothing more than a non-agression pact between the 4 of them.

To be honest with you at one time I also thought the same thing...however it's just a saying.

Although it would be badass to see a summit for Pirates with all 4 Yonko and great Pirates from all over the new world coming together.
