Shouldn't readers get to choose sometimes? I'm thinking about making a short, just to write something in hopes that it inspires me to get back to work on my book. ^_^
The three stories I'm thinking about doing are:
1. An epic battle that is fought for the freedom of a nation gripped in tyranny. Medieval weapons, certain characters are extremely powerful and gifted (not sure if I'll do something special with that, or just make them really badass and not explain it). Oh, and this ends in a very awesome scene, but I have to keep it a secret. xd
2. A devious plot to steal something by a group of thieves, lots of intrigue and dark alleys. It would kinda' be like some of the stories in TES: Morrowind if anyone ever played that and read the books in the game (very inspiring short stories in that game, I recommend reading them online if you can find them, it's worth it). The end would be extremely unexpected, somewhat twisted in a "mind game" sort of way and it would also be slightly confusing to a degree (like maybe the end leaves the reader guessing or it's just off-beat all around).
3. A twisted version of Romeo and Juliet, and if I can I'll make the ending even more tragic. (I haven't thought this one out as much)
My favorite is the first one, but I've had the second for longer and I'm quite fond of it. The third is something that just popped into my mind that I thought to be interesting. ^_^ So which do you think I should do first? I might only do one though for a while if this sparks my writing.
