Leader - TenTen, although we only see her in fillers as a team leader she's pretty bossy and gets straight to the point and that's what I think you need, someone who wont argue so you can just proceed with the mission also I think she would be able to corner the bandit with a few kunai bombs so Ino could mind transfer him at the correct timing.

Ino, I believe her mind telepathy technique will be extremely useful in this situation incase they become seperated. She can also mind transfer the bandit considering her speed with that jutsu has increased significantly!

Lee, I suppose once Ino captures the bandit with her mind transfer technique he could just carry her back, not to mention he could probably knock out the bandit aswell if necessary

Hinata, imo I believe her sensory skills surpass Shino and Kiba's and she would be able to find the bandit if he hides.

Naruto sences him, grabs him and yes then they burn the ***** to the ground. Waterfall village doesnt have much force wise. + if you destroy the village there is no war....only corpses

Seriously though my opinion with the current choice would actually be just Team Kurenai but replace Kiba with Ino. Shino Shino's the team leader as his bugs are the perfect recon and intel- he also has the perfect mentality to be a squad captain, the bugs do the prep work- if they need to properly enter the village secretely like Jiraiya did in the rain then Ino can mind transfer a civilian and can also open communication with all 3, having Hinata and Shino tell her where the guy would be.

Once located and cornered, Shino's bugs can swarm him, paralyzing him with Hinata's chakra blocking if necessary and the three of them take him home. I'd keep Rock Lee and Kiba as far away from this mission as possible as they are both knuckleheads and subtlety is hardly their strong point.​

Team 8 for tracking and Ino for a sniper Mind-Body Switch jutsu. Picking people strong in fights, like Sasuke or Naruto or Lee, is stupid since fight has to be avoided entirely. The key is tracking the guy, and trackers of team 8 are better than anyone else, then making the guy follow without the villagers noticing anything strange, that is obviously a job for Ino.

Leader is unrelevant but it's probably going to be Shino or Ino. Anyone but Kiba really.

Starting a fight = mission failed, diplomatic disaster.

Bringing strong fighters is the stupidest move.

Naruto's henge-no-jutsu has fooled everyone, Rinnegan user, sensors, sharingan users even byakugan user U_U Also in SM he can sense everyone and everything. He's also the fastest shinobi ever.

Make Bunshins to collect info, use modes and henge-no jutsu to fool everyone and kill the witnesses if any U_U Naruto soloes this mission U_U

Seriously guys, there's a reason if Team 8 was never disbanded despite being the one with less combat power in all the Konoha 12.

And the reason is, Kiba's nose + Hinata's sight + Shino's bugs = there's no hiding away, period.

If you rule out Shikamaru, and assuming the bugs aren't enough to stop a jonin-level Katon user, Ino is the safest choice to take the guy away without anyone noticing. At the very most you could chose Sakura instead of Ino, because she has quite the experience with poisons, tranquilizers, and traps.

Lee, Naruto and Sasuke are just plain wrong choices.

Naruto's henge-o-jutsu fooled everyone in the middle of a fight. Surely you realize that if Nagato/Pain was busy looking for him, he would have disguised some clones posing as rocks, so would Sasuke, so would Neji. Trying to track someone who is probably covering under a genjutsu and waiting for someone to come at him is an entirely different scenario. Laying a trap in the middle of a fight is indeed an extraordinary feat but tracking and infiltrating are different skills from improvising and tricking.

This was obvious, but fun enough. Who wants to propose another mission?

Power isn't whats necessary for this mission. Do you think Naruto would ever kill innocent witnesses?
The mission is about capturing someone without any casualties and without anyone noticing. It requires more brain than power. Even base Naruto can beat this jonin bandit but he has to do it quietly without anyone noticing. Using a team based strategy is clearly the better way to go.

This isn't a thread about whos the best leader generally dumbass, did you even read the thread?
If you were hokage and sent Naruto or Sasuke as the leader on this mission you'd be at war right now :')

You need someone with subtlety for this mission, violence isn't the answer when politics are at stake. Shino or Ino are clearly the smartest choices for this mission, not everything can be solved with rasen shuriken.

Its not only his henge-no jutsu but his KM which allows him to read the intentions of the others, his BM in which he can sense people over countries and his SM which allows him sense everything in his surrounding over countires U_U

Furthermore with his mass Kagebunshins he can gather far more info in very less time... Again, Naruto can solo missions where no code-cracking or genjutsu usage is required

BM - Senses everyone over continents.
SM - Allows hims to grasp everything that's happening over countires.
Henge-no-jutsu - Fools almost everyone.
Mass Kage Bunshins - The fastest way to gather information.

Naruto - Pain arc, just got done leading a army..... way bigger arsenal then Sasuke..... more clever techniques... has been sneaking around since he was a child....

Sasuke- what missions did he lead? none, what hideouts are you talking about? Naruto also has his own team, which used the Kyuubi's chakra.
