Re: PhotM #1: Discussion Thread
I'll apologise for not replying earlier as I was in middle of some RL stuff and really couldn't.
First of all, for now this contest will be public. I can't really check every submission and go through the process if its real or fake but I can always talk to Yard to check it as I've been doing this so far and he has been of great help. One of reasons this will stay a public contest is that every time a new photo has been submitted there is someone checking the submission thread and actually thinking about taking part. If I were to keep it private so many people wouldn't even bother checking it as this is a newer contest and not many know about it. Keeping it public will actually attract public with every new post that comes within this sub-forum and contest.
When it comes to picture manipulation, I'll allow it for now but as the contest progress I'll think about it. You can edit basic things when it comes to pictures like colors/brightness and similar but no great changes to the pictures. Also adding NB/NarutoBase and similar with Photoshop is against the rules.
Now coming to the point of having an NB sign. One month might be not having NB in the picture but that month you'll have to submit more photos with more then a single angle of a single scene you are taking picture of. And tell me which one will advance further into voting thread.
I'll keep 3 weeks of submission, one week of voting.
When it comes to voting thread... The amount of votes gained will be anonymous until of course voting ends.
Then just the entries should be limited to the first 10 submissions. So that the host can have her life. Also this way people wont procrastinate and wait to see others' entries first.
This is a no no. The amount of people that make their submission will be the amount of people advancing to the voting part of the contest. It's up to a person when they plan to make their submission. Some might wait to see others and some might have some great ideas and thus make their submission earlier.
Anyhow I remember someone recommending a Culture theme,so what do you think of that?
Also some theme suggestions? What about Black and White? Creating a contest based on a color of sorts and thus make the variety of things that can be done bigger.
