Rock&Roll was meant to send a message, a message of freedom and liberty, a message for peace and love, nowadays Rock stars just sing for money and *** and corruption, and that's a sad fact.
Pink Floyd were an English rock band that achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and musically influential groups in the history of popular music.

Here is one of their songs, I'm posting the lyrics too, read them, and understand what the Pink Floyd are trying to say:

I just meant to say that money and fame is not the rel goal of rock, it's just a bonus, real rock stars don't think about making money as their first goal, they think of sending a message first.

No disrespect but, how old are you, people? I'm not saying old or new rock stars are innocent, A lor of them are, actually, most of them are corrupted, but the original goal of rock has never been money making, or having *** and drugs, it had, a long time ago, a decent, noble goal, and now it's gone.

If anything, punk and black metal are more purer in an aesthetic sense.
