So, as the title says. Discussion time. Yayyy
I've been thinking about this a lot recently and I have no answers.

Question: Why is the human brain so complex?

Now, personally I believe in evolution so my argument derives from that. So.. What were us monkeys doing that was so difficult that we had to have our own brains evolve to give us such incredible things like thinking capacities and whatnot? It's just, there's no other animal on earth that can think as well as us (Dolphins do come close though :3). We have so many things that affect us from human nature like greediness, curiosity, etc etc. Like, how did we get all of these things? What were we doing that gave us these adjustments? =\ I have absolutely no idea. What do you guys think?

I'd rather not start a religious debate so please don't do that .-.

as we progress throught he ages. life became harder and harder for the human race so we had to adapt. we learn how to use stones as weapons. then when are prey turned to predator we learn how to fight with sticks. we humans have a amazing ability to learn. besides are culture says selfishness it wrong and to a point it is. but when it comes to preservation and darwinism we are not the strongest nor fastest creature so guess what we had to rely on adaptability

So how come we were the only animals to get this brain? Other species went through the same near extinction danger, but they didn't adapt or evolve at all :s I just have so many questions .-.

thats a good question. why did we evolve like we did.

well think about we are one of the few animals to have thumbs like we do. we used our hands to grip wood. in time figured we could pick up wood and use it. are brain is combonation of the genetic encoding theory how one generation may pass the knowledge to the next through genetic encodes. it all really basic if you can connect the thoughts such as.

a child able to dance like a professional its not natural talent its given through genetic encodes in our very dna so we worked with on what we got from the previous generation

as life evolves it always evolves to be more complex, we have the most advanced brains that make up for lack of lets say cordination, which in the biome thousands of years ago wasnt a great need

i find it hard to believe that you cant even support the thoery of evultion, i mean cant god have created all the componets necassary and then let them evolve by themslelves? instad of believing a fairy tail out of a book of moral stories, just asking?

i didn't say i didn't believe in evolution. someone else said that. the bible states that God made the world in seven days but that could mean 7 24 hour days or 'days' in a way where God meant 50000 years as 'his' type of day. the timeing between God and humans could be off...

also, please don't call the bible a fairy tail because some people (including myself) take it seriously... i really don't want to start an argument.

im sorry if i affinded you in any way, but was simply asking about physiclly impossible storis like whale swallowing jonah.....whales throats can barley swallow a full orange :/

So you're saying since we have these unique things about us that we take advantage of (thumbs as you mentioned) our information is passed down through genetics and we retain the information, or it comes easier to us? Well, I could agree. But say for example, you're a great artist. But both of your parents couldn't draw at all. Well, how did that happen. It's not something that the parents passed down, yet the child is naturally good at it. Maybe the grandparents or great grandparents could draw well. But then you'd be saying that the skills acquired from your ancestors would be randomly put into different offspring. That would somewhat ruin the whole point.
If the first person who understood how to swim gave birth, and the child didn't, maybe the child would tend to stay far away from the water and after he gives birth, the grandchild would know how to swim. But since there's no water there.. What's the point of knowing it? Then the percentage of the next child knowing how to swim would be more and more slim .-.

Just my opinion, sorry if I misinterpreted. xD
