History:

Petrichor was born near the borders of the warring states, her parents escaped increasingly disparate famine into the Land of Rain, a region perpetually shrouded in downpours and caught in the crossfire of the Great Shinobi Wars. Positioned geographically between powerful nations like the Land of Fire, Wind, and Earth, the Land of Rain served as a proxy battlefield, where invading forces clashed without regard for civilian lives. This relentless conflict devastated communities, leaving behind countless refugees, widows, and orphans amid ruined landscapes and constant rain.

As a very young child—likely no older than five or six—Petrichor lost her parents during one such skirmish, possibly a raid or stray jutsu from a passing battle between major village shinobi. The trauma of the event, compounded by the chaos and terror of war, caused her to suffer severe dissociative amnesia: she retains only fragmented sensations of fear, rain, screams, and a child's desperate hiding, with no clear memories of her family, name, or early life.

Left entirely alone in the unforgiving streets of a war-torn Amegakure, she survived on scraps, instinct, and sheer resilience, learning to move unseen and endure hunger. The village itself, under Hanzo's iron rule and later the shadow of Pain's regime, offered little sanctuary; its people were often too burdened by their own suffering to aid a stray child. Yet the ceaseless rain—both literal and metaphorical—became a constant companion, eventually inspiring her moniker "Petrichor," the earthy scent that rises after a storm, symbolizing renewal after destruction.

In her early teens, Petrichor began to awaken to her own latent chakra potential, likely through trial-and-error self-training in hidden corners of the village or abandoned outposts. She scavenged basic shinobi tools, observed passing ninja, and forged her own rough path. The sight of other war orphans—some joining desperate gangs, others falling to illness or violence—ignited a fierce resolve within her. She refused to become another casualty or a tool of the same cycles that had orphaned her.

Instead, Petrichor chose to leave Amegakure behind, becoming a wanderer unbound by village loyalty. Her blank forehead protector reflects this deliberate severance: she carries no allegiance to the systems that perpetuate war, only to the ideal of breaking their grip. Driven by a quiet but unyielding determination, she travels the world seeking wisdom from every corner—ancient scrolls in hidden temples, teachings from reclusive sages, stories from survivors in forgotten hamlets, and the hard lessons of the road itself.

Her personal "ninja way" centers on atonement for the world's accumulated sins and a hope to forge a gentler future. She intervenes wherever she finds the powerless exploited: defending remote villages from bandits, shielding children caught in conflict zones, aiding refugees displaced by skirmishes, and quietly dismantling operations that prey on the young and weak. Though she avoids large-scale wars, her actions ripple outward—small acts of protection and kindness that she believes can accumulate into real change.

As a side note, I have a bunch of custom jutsu and two approved bios with training from the 2011/2012 era, I don't know if that changes much of anything but I wanted to include that in case it changes how I build a new character or what stats I have access to. Description: This summon calls upon the messenger bird of the Hachidori realm. A small-sized but sharp-billed hummingbird of the Swordbilled variety, this hummingbird has a longer beak that is good for carrying summoning scrolls or short messages. This summon, when called upon, comes with a scroll in it's mouth that can summon ink, a brush, and paper. In order to mis-lead an onlooker, this bird can use the shadow clone technique and send each clone in a different direction or, if the opponent is hostile, stab the target with their sharp beaks, equivalent in sharpness to a senbon. Other than the shadow clone technique, this summon cannot use any jutsu.

Description: Sado is a special puppet made by Sasori after meeting him in the Battle Arena, and him dropping to his knees, saying that his actions were "stupid as hell." He allowed Sasori to make him into a puppet. After making the body into a puppet, Sasori added multiple weapons and seals on the body. On the left arm, as well as part of his left shoulder and chest, there are numerous seals allowing the puppet to summon multiple weapons, such as Shuriken, Kunai, Senbon, and other basic weapons. In the right arm, there are multiple hidden mechanisms, which Sasori was famous for. Out of the arm, Sasori could erupt multiple crescent-shaped blades, similarly to his Third Kazekage puppet could erupt arms, as well as shoot small pointed rods or senbon through a small hole in the right hand, similarly to how Hiruko could shoot senbon. The torso can open up and shoot multiple weapons from seals, and contains multiple explosive tags. His stomach contains a single charge for the Mechanical Light Shield Block. The legs contain poles that can be shot into the ground to anchor the puppet, or be used to spear the opponent. The head itself can release poisonous smoke or shoot caltrops. Like all of Sasori's puppets, it contains a deadly poison that will kill the vicitim after three days of pain and agony. Like all of Sasori's puppets, it has his symbol in its neck. His entire body is lined with iron, leading him to be stronger but slower, which is easily made up for with his ability to use Swift Release. After being made into a puppet, his normal clothing was removed and exchanged with a worn-down hooded light-weight red cloak.

He is able to understand and speak the summoner's language. His twin brother is Shaker, the Earth Bird.
~This summoning can be called upon twice per battle.
~Once called upon, this summoning lasts for four turns.
~Jutsu used by his bird count towards the turn count.
~The user must sign the Hummingbird contract.

Trinity [Hummingbird] (Trinity [Hachidori])

Description: The user does the necessary hand seals for the summoning. This summoning calls upon Trinity, the contract's Boss. He is a hummingbird of the Giant variety, distinguished by his Navy Blue and Purple cloaks with the kanji for "Giant" on the back, as well as his significantly larger size than all other contract summons. His wings have large, sword-like gauntlets attached to them. Due to his weight, however, he is somewhat slower than other summons, but greater in stregth. He is able to use A-Ranked Ninjutsu that do not require hand seals. He is able to use all techniques affiliated with the hummingbird contract. He can speak, and understand the summoner's language. Unlike other summons, he can also read the users language.
~This summoning can be called upon once per battle.
~Once called upon, this summoning lasts for four turns.
~Jutsu used by his bird count towards the turn count.
~The user must sign the Hummingbird contract.

(Yes, the giant variety does exist. It is the largest species of hummingbird in South America.)

Messenger [Hummingbird] (Messenger [Hachidori])

Description: This summon calls upon the messenger bird of the Hachidori realm. A small-sized but sharp-billed hummingbird of the Swordbilled variety, this hummingbird has a longer beak that is good for carrying summoning scrolls or short messages. This summon, when called upon, comes with a scroll in it's mouth that can summon ink, a brush, and paper. In order to mis-lead an onlooker, this bird can use the shadow clone technique and send each clone in a different direction or, if the opponent is hostile, stab the target with their sharp beaks, equivalent in sharpness to a senbon. Other than the shadow clone technique, this summon cannot use any jutsu.
~Can only be summoned twice per match.
~Can only stay on the field for 4 turns once its been summoned.

Roshida Mode (Roshida Mode)

Description: The user marks their eyes and face with blood so that it appears as tears of blood. Within one turn, the blood turns black and the user has ented a mode known as Roshida Mode. The user's weight decreases slightly, and they appear to wear a cloak of brightly or darkly colored feathers. (See image below)
~Lasts for up to 4 turns.
~Usable once per battle.
~Users must sign the hummingbird contract.
~The user can summon Hummingbird summon without sacrificing blood and with only 1 hand seal.
~During use, the user's speed and jumping height increases due to their decreased weight. The user can also use Roshida Jutsu whle in this mode.
~After use, the user's speed and jumping ability is decreased slightly due to the adjustment in their return to normal weight. The user will feel drained after use.


Yasutora Sado
Type: Puppetry

Description: Sado is a special puppet made by Sasori after meeting him in the Battle Arena, and him dropping to his knees, saying that his actions were "stupid as hell." He allowed Sasori to make him into a puppet. After making the body into a puppet, Sasori added multiple weapons and seals on the body. On the left arm, as well as part of his left shoulder and chest, there are numerous seals allowing the puppet to summon multiple weapons, such as Shuriken, Kunai, Senbon, and other basic weapons. In the right arm, there are multiple hidden mechanisms, which Sasori was famous for. Out of the arm, Sasori could erupt multiple crescent-shaped blades, similarly to his Third Kazekage puppet could erupt arms, as well as shoot small pointed rods or senbon through a small hole in the right hand, similarly to how Hiruko could shoot senbon. The torso can open up and shoot multiple weapons from seals, and contains multiple explosive tags. His stomach contains a single charge for the Mechanical Light Shield Block. The legs contain poles that can be shot into the ground to anchor the puppet, or be used to spear the opponent. The head itself can release poisonous smoke or shoot caltrops. Like all of Sasori's puppets, it contains a deadly poison that will kill the vicitim after three days of pain and agony. Like all of Sasori's puppets, it has his symbol in its neck. His entire body is lined with iron, leading him to be stronger but slower, which is easily made up for with his ability to use Swift Release. After being made into a puppet, his normal clothing was removed and exchanged with a worn-down hooded light-weight red cloak.

Sounds like a necessary next step, even if I did have one it's definitely depreciated. What about the old training system, does stuff learned via that carry over?

So! You no longer have to train in the B9 as they are pretty basic and self explanatory. So water, fire, wind, lightning, earth, Taijutsu, kenjutsu, Genjutsu and Ninjutsu you have by default. If you feel like you need training in these fields, by all means a sensei will teach you if you ask but they are not necessary to learn from the start. You simply have access to them once you unlock them all via rank. Old training for everything else picks up where it left off as long as the old training thread is linkable so sensei can see where you left off and your knowledge of said field. If you cannot find it, you must start over but that's not really a big deal since training is easier and quicker nowadays.

That being said, anything else that is technically considered an advanced field you will need training in. For instance, you will need training in that storm release of yours. As well as toads. Assuming you didn't have training in it previously. Any AE (advanced element), AN (advanced Ninjutsu), Universal Abilities (ex: fuuinjutsu, yang release, yin release), character specific techniques, etc. Any and everything outside of the B9 I mentioned you will need training in if you haven't trained in it already. Summons and all that included. But again. A lot faster nowadays. Sensei will pick you up as a student quicker and the training itself will be a lot faster.

A great start for a returning bio. Just a few things to address, namely within the specialties/skills categories.

For your specialties, you'll want to maintain consistency in that the only things listed under Specialties are explicitly what is listed in the specialties thread found > Here. < This helps to maintain coherency and quick reference of information when reviewing one's bio in any context; be that in the approval stage, in a fight/tournament, or in the NW. So with that being said, you'll want to remove things like Black Lightning, Storm Release, your summoning contracts and so forth while leaving your 6 chosen specialties there accordingly. The others that I just listed above can come down and join your "skills" category, along with your basic elements/abilities. On top of this, I noticed you had two references of Single Hand Seal Specialist, which you can only have 1 instance of a specialty at a time on a bio; simply meaning no double dipping. You can, however, swap one of the two for something like Increased Elemental Specialist which serves a similar function but instead of a single hand seal, it cuts the required seals in half if greater than 3 in total (so a 4 seal requirement ability now only requires 2, for example). As a side note, you'll want to designate what element/skill your Efficient Chakra Control specialty applies toward, similarly to how you specified Raiton for your Single Hand Seal specialty.

Aside from this, your attributes reflect an 11 allocated total. You should have 10 as a baseline for your rank, then a +2 that was afforded to all members during the holiday season which can be found in reference > Here. < This allows you to have a total of 12 AP starting out. Your stray 1 point into Vitality leaves you unbalanced for your totals, so you'll want to allocate your final point wherever you'd like to bring your total up to quota. That being said, you'll also want to clarify where your 1 point of vitality is being distributed toward; either your Health or your Chakra. As an Academy Student, you start with a base health of 35, then a base chakra of 250. Each point of Vitality contributes either a 40 point increase to health, or a 400 point increase to chakra, so you can choose accordingly and specify which you opted for next to the stat itself.

Once these things are ironed out and organized, feel free to reach back out to me here in this thread and I'll be glad to finish processing the bio for you accordingly. ✌️

Looks better, great work. The only other thing to address now is in your skills, you have each of the basic elements and skills assigned, which at the Academy Student rank, you are only afforded 2 basic elements (fire, water, wind, earth, lightning) and 1 basic skill (Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Bukijutsu). So you'll want to select which you'll be starting off with, then the rest will grow into the fuller arsenal once you've progressed through the ranks.

Quick question, I think I made a big mistake in stats. I believe if I have 2 VIT, then my health should be 75, not 35 - I took a 400 bonus to chakra for one VIT, but I think I forgot to assign the second one.
