Nope, there are already existing characters who had been set aside; bringing another cluster of dead and suppose to be dead men in action at flashbacks would be out of place.

The battlefield is already a mess. They don't bring anything better to the table than 4 Hokages and look where they stand now.
Its not the time to introduce new characters, especially if they're going to be shallow and empty only to showcase more explosions and flashy stuff.
