The Byakugan user is initially a "fodder" or per-say, but as we've seen canonically Hinata in Pt.1 who was if anything the pinnacle of "fodder" for a less better term of use, it's safe to presume general Hyuga are capable/known Gentle Fist thus, a "fodder" Hyuga is capable of.

My beliefs however, are that the Hyuga regardless of Gentle Fist utterly triumph against the Sharingan user in the aspect of Taijutsu -- Whilst Genjutsu from the Sharingan is rendered ineffective through Byakugan's finesse perception, allowing its user to access enough visual efficiency to depict reality from illusion (i.e. realize he/she's in a Genjutsu, then break it).

I heavily side with the Hyuga here, though this is a discussion of perspective, and it'd be nice to hear from both sides.

I'm pretty sure all the genin were following Lee too (barely) until the 5th Gate. There's also nothing really to support one Sharingan having better insight than another Sharingan, so I can't see how Kakashi and Sasuke's vision would be incomparable. I don't even think Kakashi has faced Guy unlocking any of the Gates. Guy himself can't just train his eye to be better than the Sharingan, and having knowledge that someone is fast doesn't make you any better at following them.

Kishi never gave us an example of the Byakygan seeing through genjutsu, even though Byakugan can see chakra flow and pierce illusions like the Sharingan and Rinnegan. I'd say 3T Sharingan = Byakugan in terms of perception and insight, but as we know, you have to train both your body and your eyes.

With all the accessory powers that the MS can get, there's no way for the Byakugan to compete.

The generic Hyuga isn't likely to be nearly as talented as Neji or a main branch member when it comes to GF, and fodder Uchiha has hype as still being a very dangerous opponent because combat is something they naturally excel at. Gentle Fist is what "destroys chakra" by using chakra itself. It's already been explained that it works by using chakra from different locations to cut things. This method will absolutely not work against something like Fire Style. As for diversity, I was talking about in techniques. There are many techniques deriving from Fire Style, but the Hyuuga can only shoot chakra.

That's only because the Byakugan can see through the entire distance between the countries, so there isn't an actual need to "follow" it. Once again though, it is irrelevant here. The two opponents will be moving at speeds they can both track, but being able to track your opponent at the current time doesn't mean you will know where they are going, or else you'd be saying the Byakugan has prediction, which is false.

Second of all, if this Hyuga clan member doesn't know the Jyuken, which is part of the stipulations in this fight. Then he has to use normal taijutsu against this Uchiha opponent that he or she is facing, all of his movements can be predicted. Just because you can see an attack coming doesn't mean you can see it before it even came at you.

The Sharingan is meant for combat, the Byakugan's only combat use is with the Jyuken or taking on multiple opponents.
