Correct me if I'm wrong but Naruto tanking the ST was not canon right?

The force is going to be applied no matter what, but obviously the PS is going to tank the damage done to it.

He rooted himself and turned it around tho, so its not like the force can simply be negated.

Don't really know if PS could do it, but either way its not taking much damage.
