I can't say one way or another as I don't know how their power stacks up to each other, so I'll just have to go with my assumption. They have comparable destructive capacity, but Susano'o seems to have more defensive power. Meh I don't know. I can only say this. If lesser MS techniques like Amaterasu are capable of owning Kurama, then the mother of all MS techniques should at least be able to do the same.

Madara is not stronger than Kurama. He can control it- sure, but he is not stronger.

The perfect Susanoo is equal to Kyuubi. The perfect Susanoo can't kill Kyuubi, but can counter all its attacks. A Bijuudama, whether continuous or individual is staved off and forced to explode with a shock wave of the perfect Susanoo's sword which is send right in their path; a similar action was done by the Juubi, who sent a Bijuudama-beam in the Bijuudama's path. A Chou Bijuudama takes to much of charging process; a shock wave of the perfect Susanoo's sword would definitely catch the Bijuudama before it is even fired. After all, only a swing of the perfect its sword is necessary to catch distant mountains instantly.

A fool would believe that the perfect Susanoo would simply remain standing without further actions, while the Kyuubi would send Bijuudama's flying to it. Madara was never one to take something weaker than him along. He needed the Kyuubi to face Hashirama and he needed genjutsu to make it fight for him.

It is obvious that the Kyuubi added something extra to his arsenal.

And a simple chakra roar laughs at PS' shockwave. PS knocked down five men, out of which one is 73 years old and is one meter tall.

A 50% Kyuubi's chakra roar knocked down 5 bijuus.
