Ok, so senjutsu is basically the absorption and balance of natural energy that occurs outside in nature, inside ones body. Too little and you will not achieve sage mode, too much and you will start turning into the animal/contracted summon. Perfect sage mode is when you have perfected the right amount to have within your body. You gain a slight physical feature change, but your body becomes significantly stronger and quicker. Also shifting into sage mode can break genjutsu.
The difference between snake sage mode and toad is that, in snake sage mode you gain a x4 speed boost whereas in toad it's x3. I could be wrong here, but in toad sage mode the users perception and reflexes are enhanced by x3, whereas snake is x4. Also with snake sage mode you gain access to Inorganic Reincarnation. This gives the user the ability to control things that have no life function, by putting some of their chakra/natural energy into it. Toad sage mode cannot do this.

The imperfect form of sage mode, the body becomes impowered by natural energy. This empowers their attacks with senjutsu until they run out of chakra to afford the mode. They gain a damage reduction and are able to sense chakra and gain enhanced reflexes. Their ninjutsu and taijtusu increases in damage and going into this state is able to release genjutsu. The user will gain snake features. You can only use it twice per combat but you are able to meditate gaining back chakra and entering the state again gathering 60 chakra per turn
( Kanpekinanin Hebi Sennin Modo ) - Perfect Snake Sage Mode
Very similar to the imperfect version, but better. The damage increase from imperfect SM is +20, while Perfect SM is +30. Your speed increase is significantly higher in perfect SM. Imperfect gives you a 2x speed boost where perfect gives you a 4x speed boost. The damage reduction is higher Imperfect being 20 damage, whereas perfect is 30 damage reduction. You aslo heal 10 damage per turn in perfect SM unlike imperfect. The biggest difference is that you get access to Inorganic Reincarnation, which allows the user the ability to control things that have no life function. You are only able to use this once per battle starting with 400 chakra. Like Imperfect SM, you are able to meditate to gain chakra except the number you gain is higher. 75 per turn and your max threshold is higher being 600 as apposed to imperfect's 360

Very interesting technique, this technique allows you to bring life to inanimate objects. Like in the anime and manga, great when used during fight in small spaces. To really utilise this ability you really need to think of the environment and if you have the choice of the terrain even better. Its range is also great, it’s a solid large scale jutsu.
