Wow, that would be an awesome ambiguous ending. Like in Inception (spoilers), you don't know if the top is going to fall, meaning this could all be a dream. Or in Code Ceass (Spoilers), where Lelouch's fate is left ambiguous.

edit: I actually hadn't read the part where others had already made the Inception and Geass connections

That's not an ambiguous endings, that's an absolute ending where the bad guys win.

A ambiguous ending, requires that the reader really isn't sure who won or what happened to the hero, its completely up to the reader.

Edit: An example would be where the manga ends with Naruto and Sasuke about to fight and you don't know who wins.


I would like to point out that its impossible to do an ending where infinite Tsukuyomi succeeds because according to how it works it creates illusions of the dead, and unless you are used to seeing dead people turn up alive without explanation, they are going to know.

OT : it seems like sasuke is gonna go after naruto (he is targeting the bijuu's now, kurama is one of them) so it will be like this : somehow they beat the juubi/obito, sasuke turns to naruto (after killing the other bijuu's/juubi or naruto stands in his way to protect them), naruto beats sasuke in a 1on1, everything goes back to normal + the shinobi world learned how to live with each other, a glimpse of an older naruto as hokage, THE END.

I disagree.

For example in Inception, the top is wobbling but you don't know if it will fall. It's ambiguous.

In Naruto, you'd have to make it ambiguous. For example, Naruto looks out of the corner of his eye he sees IT moon in its reflection on a pond. He looks again at the pond, but no IT. Then at the actual moon, but no IT. It's left ambiguous if it was Naruto's imagination.

Regarding your last point, I hadn't thought about that. However, Rin exists in Obito's world because she would in his perfect world. Perhaps, most people wouldn't want to see dead people. Thus, they would not exist in their world.

I know this ending will not happen. I just like the idea.

The way I want it to end is Naruto becomes Hokage and Sasuke returns to the Leaf. Happily ever after

Sasuke dies, but beforehand tells Naruto he loves him/they hug or kiss. Naruto becomes Hokage.

Sasuke doesn't die. They win the war. They get together.

Obito succeeds.

Naruto finally having the Title as Hokage. Hinata is the Hyuga's heiress because she did prove herself on the battlefield. I think her father is reconsidering at this point. I think Naruto and Hinata finally get together and get married, having a child of their own. Kakashi is most likely to be alone with his make out books. LOL. The village is at peace again. I can see Sasuke finally being back in the village, possibly giving Sakura a chance. Eventually team 7 will officially be the legendary sennin if it goes that far. Can't think of anything else.

Everyone in K11 becomes the leaders of their respective clans..

Then maybe one last scene with everyone eating Ichiraku Ramen.. for that nostalgia feel.
