It's so easy to bully a Kid who was going through a very tough route in his life. People get emotionally involved with characters and fiction because they find solace in them. It's a common reaction to real life depression. They cry, find things thrilling, or feel happy when their favourite character exhibits such emotions, as they can somehow relate the emotions. There is nothing abnormal about this.
Coming to the suicide part, then that News Handling department should be shot. The kid was mentally abused and even his father didn't seem to care after his death. That should tell you people a lot where that kid was coming from. If Parents show such cold bevahiour, it's a matter of certainty that the kid had no one to turn to whatever problems he was facing or perhaps parental abuse was also involved. It's always good to look at all the perspectives rather than limit oneself to surface-value.
A peace of advise, as calling a kid stupid who killed himself over a fictional character isn't normal. He needed help, and you people need a good dose of empathy. Shameful.
