People Still Think Gaara Can Block Amaterasu?

People are mixing up Amaterasu and Enton: Kagetsuchi.
Both are black flames, but the difference is:

Amaterasu ignites everything the user's looking at. It doesn't travel any distance, it instantly appears right before/at the enemy. It's nearly impossible to dodge.

Enton: Kagetsuchi uses Amaterasu's black flames, but manipulates already existing ones, throwing them at the enemy. When used with Kagetsuchi, they fly towards the enemy, travelling distance - just like projectiles - hence they can be blocked much more easily. The difference is in the flames' usage.

You can only avoid Amaterasu if you're able to escape from the Sharingans sight. The sand can't block Amaterasu since it arises directly infront of the Mangekyous target. There's no distance Amaterasu has to bridge, so his sand can't react. In the manga Gaara only blocked Sasukes Amaterasuflame he threw with his Blaze Release in his direction.

It's possible what Gaara blocked was not an amaterasu that was meant to originate on him but was manipulated and shot at him. Of course if a small amount of Gaaras sand is all around him when amaterasu is used it will hit the sand not him then the sand will quickly clump together preventing any flames from getting through.

That is true that A dodged it, but he had to use a high-speed jutsu to do so... which IIRC only he, Minato, and Shisui are known to be able to do. And they are dead. So i'll retract my statement and say:

Anyone alive, BESIDES the Raikage (and possibly Naruto), cannot dodge Amaterasu.

so yeah fair one i see some comments saying he blocked Enton not Amaterasu

but!!...

If you need to focus on your target for Amaterasu to work can't Garra BLOCK the line of sight with his sand so Saskue can't focus. Thus Garra ah technicaly blocked Amaterasu.

So in my opinion Garra can block Amaterasu, doesn't matter what stage you count it focusing on you opponent is part of the black flames attack.

He blocked Enton, which is the manipulation of amaterasu that has already been cast from the eyes.

He can't block an amaterasu that is being cast from the eyes as it is near instantly formed where the user is looking.

Can you move faster than the user can cast it on you? With high speed yes.

Thank you for posting this... There are people that still think Amaterasu can be blocked or outrun.. it's very stupid. Not even Jaraiya could block Amaterasu's flames as a Sannin.
