As stated above,
I know a lot of Naruto's ideals and beliefs are unrealistic like"I won't let any of my friends die" and "I'll bring back Sasuke"( That one went down splendidly).
However many times i have seen people calling Gaara,Neji and others that have redeemed themselves as a "Naruto dickrider".So Gaara went from being a psychotic, bloodthirsty kid to someone who respects and cares for his comrades and his village, values the feelings of others.
The same applies for Neji, he started believing he could control his destiny and became a better person .
Is that such a bad thing, that Naruto helped a few people find their paths in life and they became better people?
P.S. I know Naruto is portrayed like a Jesus figure a lot but he has been showed having his shortcomings that were pointed out by Itachi and Kakashi a few times but i don't think Gaara and several others deserve bashing just because Naruto is shown as being idealistic sort at times.
