I feel a lot of ppl know just how good he is, and what he is truly capable of doing...I feel they deny him because of that. I feel it infuriates them that he is so powerful. I also feel some dislike him because of all Kishi has done for him. There are a few who dislike the Uchiha in general because Kishi seemingly favors them above all else.

Nonetheless...this is my opinion... Until Kishi makes an official tier or says otherwise Itachi is always in my top 5 most powerful ninja as an overall view. I don't pay any attention to lists where he's low as it means nothing just like mine, as far as holding validity. It's all opinion...

I must say I tizzy somewhat when I see some post lists as if their list is truly absolute. As if they are Kishi, and say who goes where as if their word is law. To each their own though.

Yes, he did. Itachi got help from Obito. He admitted it himself during his fight with Sasuke. And it never said Itachi had the IQ of a Hokage, they said his thinking, as in mindset was as a Hokage at a young age.

Itachi is my fav character but I know that he is not the strongest. He did have extreme amounts of potential and power and if he didn't sacrifice his life for his brother and village I bet he would've surpassed madara.

Edo Nagato was one-shotted by Itachi. (But if Nagato is healthy and not crippled obviously he beats Itachi.)

Alive Minato only had rasengan, s/t jutsu, and FTG. He didn't have Kurama. And he looked directly into 14-yr old Obito's eyes. Genjutsu can take him.

Hashirama takes anyone in the Naruverse minus the So6p and juubi jins who stole his dna and Madara took Hashi's DNA to become more powerful so obviously he takes Itachi as well.

Itachi has already caught Naruto in his genjutsu before. The only advantage Naruto has now is that Kurama can break him out of it, but even that takes a few seconds to do as shown when Itachi cast genjutsu on Bee. A few seconds is quite a bit of time to kill someone. :/ (But obviously in terms of powerlevels Naruto beats Itachi by miles.)

Sick, blind, dying Itachi pushed Hebi Sasuke to his limits and could have easily killed him if he wanted to. It still takes time for Sasuke to break out of Itachi's Tsukiyomi as well. He is also not as skilled/well-rounded a shinobi as Itachi. (But obviously w/ EMS Sasuke beats Itachi in terms of power by miles as well.)

Itachi is always going to be top ten. There's just no denying it.

What feats have put Itachi above Tobirama?
Itachi is skilled...Obito can still kill him, he was cautious because Itachi could have ruined his plans, which Itachi almost did.
I can easily say that Gai's will power itself and chakra is enough to break him out of simple genjutsu, then, we have the gates.
Kabuto is no longer effected by Izanami.
I said PAIN, not Nagato.
All itachi has is Amaterasu, Tsukoyomi, and Susanoo, all techs take a ton out of him. FTG is used to avoid ama, and any attacks from Susanoo. Some can say Itachi one shots with genjutsu, I can easily say Minato one shots with FTG..also, Minato has gamabunta...which would also help.

It is obviously clear he was holding back and here is the proof
-he wanted to see if Sasuke could one day stop Obito (at that time everyone thought it was Madara)
-he wanted to kill Orochimaru
-give Sasuke the MS
-he had a illness
-zetsu made it clear that Itachi was not fighting at his best.

against Kabuto he also wasn't at 100%
-He was an Edo-tensei (which means his strength wasn't in his prime state)
-he couldn't kill Kabuto
-he had to make sure Sasuke is safe (in other words Sasuke was in the way)

And let us not forget about the beginning of Naruto were he had to fight Kakashi,Naruto,that old woman and Sakura
at 30% of his power people 30%

Madara would have a hard time fighting Itachi because this guy has everything he needs to give Madara a run for

I like Itachi and all but you're using wrong info. First off it was Obito and Itachi who killed the Uchiha clan and it was never said his IQ was that of a Hokage, it said his reasoning was, he didn't only focus on his clan but on other clans as a whole which the village is made of and that's all. I do agree that Itachi let Sasuke win, that part is correct.

Against Kabuto, you do know that whole fight was plot right? even if Itachi wanted to kill Kabuto, Kabuto's SM senses would dodge the attacks and all Kabuto had to do was release Itachi's Edo tensei but plot didn't allow him. Kabuto didn't care about the war, he only wanted Sasuke and that's why he aided Obito so he could have undid Edo tensei and captured Sasuke with white rage or his sound genjutsu.

Also as for Izanami, that's the biggest plot hole ever. Obito stated you needed Senju and Uchiha DNA to use Izanagi yet Itachi said Uchihas were spamming it so had to create Izanami, where did they get the Senju DNA? Madara didn't even attempt if until he read the tablet with his EMS which tells him how to get the Rinnegan and by that time Tobirama was looking over Uchihas. If Izanami is a pair with Izanami then why doesn't Itachi need Senju DNA to use it? And without Sasuke Itachi wouldn't know where Kabuto would attack from while White rage blinded and deafed Itachi nor would he be able to escape the sound genjutsu, Uchiha's weakness.

The clone of Itachi wasn't at 30% of Itachi's power, They needed 30% of Itachi's and Kisame's chakra for sealing the 1 tails so the clone was 70% of Itachi's power

Madara's skill is level over kage level which is where Itachi is so no he wouldn't have that much of a hard time. Madara called fighting the 5 kages child's play and he wasn't close to being serious. Madara mastered the Sharingan beyond anyone so don't say Itachi did, Madara was the one to control Kurama with just his 3 Tomoes when Itachi said he would need the MS for such a feat

. Madara easily made 25 wood clones, can drop meteors, absorb chakra, use flower world that release pollen, use fire jutsus that stronger than Sasuke's and Itachi's, have more physical strength, and more.

You do know Naruto was in intense training where he wasted a ton of chakra and was even hurt without rest before going to the war right? Then he split his power 1/13th when he made 12 clones then he fought Itachi with 1/13th of the power he had after his training so that's not a big feat since Naruto wasn't showing to be using his strength or speed against Itachi or Nagato, he used his speed on A and his strength against Obito+Jinchuurikis.

Sasuke's speed in part 1 was the same as Lee's speed without the weights, if you're saying Shippuden Sasuke's speed is faster than yes it is but they were Genins so that speed was more on jounin's speed and both Sasuke and Lee are much faster now. Gaara is better with his sand as well, he made a huge barrier over his village to protect them from Deidara's C3 which has a bigger impact than Kirin. So it was strong and fast and that was in the beginning of Shippuden, current Gaara is strong enough to block the hit of 5 Susanoo Madara swords before getting knocked back.
