Because you have a choice.
A: You fight for a utopia where evil is irradicated and everything is perfect.
B: You don't fight for a utopia, maybe cus it doesn't exist, can't exist and only leads to tragedy.
HOWEVER
Option B means that if there is evil in the world and you are not gonna fight against it cus creating a perfect world is impossible you are an accomplice in letting the evil exist, meaning we as humans are forced to learn to tolerate and accept things we don't like ,things that could in theory be defined as evil.
Nobody is really pure, only ideals fools us into thinking we are, but sooner or later we all get mud on our hands.
